Behind the Keyboard!

... an avid developer who has been freelancing for over 15 years, most of the time in PHP and JavaScript. I started out building websites for a few gaming communities I was part of and that's where my passion grew until I turned it into a blossoming career. I've worked in several agencies in various roles including Lead Developer until turning to freelance in 2018.

I'm currently a big advocate for Craft CMS, Shopify, Laravel and Next.js as I find them to be the best tools for the job but there are so many things in the dev ecosystem that I'm always taking a peek at things.

Apart from development, I'm a very amateur photographer with a Fuji X-t5 + 35mm lens who just loves to snap and shoot things, especially in black and white. My main aim is to get out and travel a bit more and get more use of it, as street photography is a favourite of mine. Feel free to share your pictures on Mastodon if you have any.

I'm also a collector of things I enjoyed in my childhood, the big two being; Magic! The Gathering cards where I play Commander regularly. If you play, you can peak some of my decks on Moxfield - maybe challenge me to a game sometime? I also collect Lego, where I'm building a city with my wife and son in our spare room at the moment, which is cool!

Oh, and how could I forget, I have two poodles called Rory and Roxie!
